Prompt
This is the logo and brand design for Arielle Emmett, a licensed professional counselor in Blacksburg, VA. The client aimed to create a cohesive brand for her office’s signage and other professional materials. Her audience is primarily kids and parents of kids. She didn’t want any cliche or detailed imagery in the logo; she just wanted something simple to represent her brand. We aimed to start her brand with something affordable (it didn’t take me many hours to design) that she could build off of in the future if necessary.

Inspiration
During the process, we stumbled upon the imagery of rings on a tree while experimenting with various abstract shapes to complement the font we chose for her.
Fonts & Colors
The client wanted to reflect the color scheme in her office in her branding. At first, I considered using the rustic orange in her office as an accent color, but we decided it was too bright and funky. We wanted something more muted and calming, so we settled on some calming and earthy shades of green and blue.
