hardly working
Pet PhotographySarah VoglLast month I quit my full-time serving job of two years to focus more time towards my creative business. The decision was made on a whim so that I could get time off work to go out of town on a particular weekend, but I’m so glad I took the leap!
While income from my creative business has been steadily growing, I won’t lie to you and claim that I don’t need anything else. I’ve diversified my income and took on several side gigs, one of which is cleaning houses and doing yard work for my friends.
These are photos I took of Ben’s dog Lizzy and her Virginia Tech swag before I got on my hands and knees and scrubbed the dining room floor she was sunbathing on. I can’t say enough how satisfying it is to set my own schedule and work on my own my own terms. I also can’t get over how good it feels to use this flexibility to dedicate time towards pursuing the clients I want to work for. I’ve made so much progress in the past month that wouldn’t have been possible without my admittedly questionable decision-making. I have no idea where I’ll be in a few months and that’s so exciting/scary! Bring it on.

Misc PhotographySarah VoglI had a repotting party so I decided to do a visual inventory of my house plants. Sometimes I forget how much they’ve grown if I don’t document it!
