I didn’t realize how good of a choice Megan’s black outfit was until I got home to edit. I’m so incredibly glad we stayed through the heat until it was just a few seconds from storming on us. I’m obsessed with the contrast between her clothes, the moody blue/gray sky and the bright colors of the fair. Thank you, Megan!
Some photographers carry their cameras everywhere they go and take pictures constantly. I’m NOT that person, unfortunately. I am an “all-or nothing” person. I’m either taking pictures and working my ass off or I’m relaxing, I have no in-between mode. (I also like not having to worry about my equipment all the time... it’s safer at home!)
This means that my camera usually only comes out when I’m working, but for my sanity and for my soul, I’ve been hosting these small photography meet-ups. I invite friends, photographers and models using social media. I pick a loose theme/challenge and then just kind of improvise the rest. This is one of my favorite ways to network with other photographers and stretch my creative muscles.
